This training is not simply about learning postures or becoming a yoga teacher. It is an immersion into Yoga as a complete practice, integrating movement, breath, meditation, philosophy, energetics and self-inquiry.
Students learn not only what to teach, but why they are teaching it, understanding how asana, breath, attention and sequencing influence the physical body, energy, mind and nervous system.
The intention is to develop teachers who can teach with knowledge, awareness, confidence and authenticity, while giving every student the opportunity to deepen their own relationship with yoga, whether they ultimately choose to teach or not.
Founder & Lead Teacher - Immerse Yoga
Mark is the founder of Immerse Yoga and has been a dedicated practitioner of Yoga for over 25 years. With more than 1,200 hours of certified Yoga training and practice across diverse traditions, including VIKASA Yoga, Higher Yoga Academy and Universal Yoga, Mark is also a trained ZenThai Shiatsu therapist. His understanding has been shaped through study, teaching, decades of personal practice and the experiences of life itself.
For Mark, Yoga is not something that begins and ends on the mat. He lives and breathes the practice, with a deep devotion to the teachings of asana, pranayama, meditation and philosophy. This devotion is woven through his teaching and the way he holds space for others.
At the heart of Mark’s approach is a belief in living a life of experience - remaining curious, taking chances, moving beyond what is comfortable and allowing both the challenges and beauty of life to shape us. His own journey has taught him that some of our deepest growth comes through staying present when life becomes uncomfortable, an understanding that naturally flows into the way he teaches.
As a lead teacher of the Immerse Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training, Mark brings together his knowledge, dedicated practice and lived experience to help students deepen their understanding of Yoga and discover who they are within the practice, developing the confidence to share Yoga in a way that is genuine, grounded and truly their own.
Co-Founder & Lead Teacher - Immerse Yoga
Tina is the co-founder of Immerse Yoga and an experienced Yoga teacher with over 1,500 hours of certified training and many years devoted to the study, practice and teaching of Yoga. Her training and practice span a diverse range of Yoga traditions (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin) and schools, with extensive study through VIKASA Yoga, Higher Yoga Academy, Universal Yoga and ZenThai Shiatsu Therapy.
At the heart of Tina’s teaching is her own deep love for the practice. Yoga is something she lives, explores and continues to learn from every day.
Her teaching is grounded in a natural softness and presence. Through her calm nature, gentle voice and ability to hold space, Tina creates an environment where students feel supported to slow down, listen and experience the practice for themselves.
Her studies span many layers of Yoga, including asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, Ayurveda and the subtle body. She has a natural ability to take this depth of knowledge and make it clear, practical and accessible, helping students understand not only how to practise, but the deeper principles and intentions behind what they are doing.
Tina is passionate about supporting students to discover their own potential and develop the confidence to trust their knowledge, experience and intuition. She believes becoming a Yoga teacher is a process of developing a strong foundation in knowledge and personal practice, while learning to trust what arises through your own experience - allowing each person’s unique and authentic way of teaching to naturally emerge.
Alex was introduced to the practice of yogic meditation at the age of 14, and since 1998 he has been immersed in the study of Yoga philosophy and meditation practices of different traditions.
After apprenticing with a yoga master for five years and receiving spiritual initiation, Alex began teaching in 2004.
Since then, his dedication to learning from leading experts and sharing the profound wisdom of yoga has continued to deepen.
Beyond intellectual study, Alex’s teachings are rooted in years of daily meditation, periods of solitude, and intensive yogic practices, including austerities, esoteric breathwork, japa, nāda yoga, mantra, and visualization practices from the classical Tantric tradition, among many others.
Alex is the founder of Higher Yoga Academy, which has developed teacher training curricula and manuals for numerous yoga schools, an online 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, a Yoga Philosophy plug-in for hybrid teacher training programs, meditation and self-development courses for corporate leaders, and a wide range of other educational programs.
He has trained over 100 groups of 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in Yoga philosophy and meditation, and has conducted numerous meditation courses and workshops, both online and in person.
